Lake McQueeney Modern

McQueeney, Texas

This two-story custom home sits under mature shade trees on Lake McQueeney. It mixes clean, modern lines with warm natural materials. Crisp white stucco wraps the whole home, and a black standing-seam metal roof gives it a sharp, low-maintenance top. A timber-framed entry gable welcomes guests to the front door.

The entry centers on a custom iron and glass front door, framed by heavy timber posts and lantern lighting. Tongue-and-groove pine soffits add warmth under the eaves and porches and soften the bright white exterior. Black-framed windows and Western Window Systems sliders link the inside to the outdoor living spaces and let natural light fill the home.

Inside, luxury vinyl plank flooring runs throughout. It's durable, water-resistant and well suited to lake living. Custom navy blue cabinets give the kitchen a bold look, paired with a full GE appliance package. A custom designed and built Walk in Fridge is a rare commodity.  A white oak staircase with custom handrails connects the two levels and is the home's main architectural feature.

The home was built for efficiency. A Freedom Solar package sits on the standing-seam roof, and a Tesla Powerwall battery provides backup power. The owners get lower energy bills and keep their power on through outages, which is a real advantage on the lake.

Every part of this Lake McQueeney home was planned for easy, modern lake living. It's a custom home where style, durability and performance work together.
