Current Custom Homes to Build Luxury Vineyard Estates in One of the Texas Hill Country’s Most Exclusive New Communities

There are luxury communities. There are wine communities. And then there is Puerta del Lobo.

An established vineyard destination born in Querétaro, Mexico, Puerta del Lobo is bringing its distinctive combination of wine, architecture, food, hospitality, entertainment, and vineyard living to the Texas Hill Country.

And Current Custom Homes is excited to be part of what is coming next.

Current Custom Homes will be building both custom residences and select luxury spec homes within Puerta del Lobo Texas, with homes expected to reach the $4 million to $5 million luxury estate level.

This isn't simply another high-end development.

It is an opportunity to build a home around an entirely different way of living.

From Mexico to the Texas Hill Country

Puerta del Lobo has already established its identity in Mexico as a destination centered around the vineyard.

Its Mexican estate blends winemaking, culinary experiences, entertainment, hospitality, architecture, and the landscape itself into one cohesive environment.

The wine behind the name has also earned significant recognition. Puerta del Lobo has accumulated more than 80 national and international wine medals, including major honors for several of its wines. Its E60 2020 was awarded Grand Gold and recognized as “Revelación Vino Tinto 2025” at México Selection by CMB.

Now, that culture is being brought north to Texas.

Reimagined for the Texas Hill Country.

Your Home. Your Land. Your Vineyard.

One of the most extraordinary elements of Puerta del Lobo Texas will be the relationship between each residence and the land surrounding it.

The community is planned around an exclusive collection of just 48 approximately three-acre tracts, with each estate incorporating its own private vineyard.

Imagine waking up in the Texas Hill Country and looking beyond your terrace to rows of vines growing on your own property.

Hosting friends for dinner overlooking the vineyard.

Walking downstairs to select a bottle from your private wine room.

Watching the sunset over the vines from an outdoor living space designed specifically around the land.

This is where the architecture becomes part of the experience.

More Than a Neighborhood

Puerta del Lobo is being designed as a destination—not simply a gated collection of expensive homes.

The larger vision includes a mixture of residential, culinary, entertainment, hospitality, and gathering spaces, with plans for:

  • Restaurants and dining experiences

  • Shopping

  • Live music areas

  • Public gathering spaces

  • Wedding and special-event venues

  • Wine experiences

  • Public and private underground wine cellars

  • Private vineyards integrated into the residential estates

Residents will be able to enjoy a level of activity and culture rarely found inside a luxury residential community while still returning home to the privacy of a three-acre vineyard estate.

That balance is what makes the concept so compelling.

Designing Homes That Belong Here

For Current Custom Homes, our goal is not to take a typical luxury Hill Country home and simply place it beside a vineyard.

The home should belong to Puerta del Lobo.

We see an opportunity to blend the architectural soul of Mexico with the materials, landscape, and lifestyle of the Texas Hill Country.

Warm natural stone. Hand-applied stucco. Heavy timbers. Iron. Arches. Courtyards. Deep covered patios. Outdoor kitchens. Water features. Mature landscaping. Intimate gardens and spaces designed around the vineyard.

And inside, the architecture can continue telling the same story.

Select Current Custom Homes residences at Puerta del Lobo will incorporate private underground wine rooms, creating spaces that feel less like traditional residential wine storage and more like part of an estate winery.

These homes are intended to be sophisticated without becoming sterile, substantial without becoming excessive, and unique enough that they could only belong in this particular place.

$4–$6 Million Homes Designed Around the Experience

At this level, luxury is about much more than square footage.

It's about experience.

How does the home open toward the vineyard?

What do you see when you walk through the front door?

Where do twenty people gather for dinner?

Where does a couple sit with a glass of wine at the end of the evening?

How do the kitchen, wine room, outdoor living spaces, pool, vineyard, and landscape connect?

Those are the questions we want to answer with our homes at Puerta del Lobo.

Current Custom Homes will offer both one-of-a-kind custom homes designed around individual

owners and a limited number of speculative luxury estates designed specifically for the community.

The First Current Custom Homes Residence

Our first Puerta del Lobo residence is already in development.

The first design preview is planned for October 2026, offering the first look at how Current Custom Homes intends to interpret the Puerta del Lobo lifestyle through architecture.

Groundbreaking is planned for January 2027.

The residence will be offered for sale, and an early buyer may have the opportunity to step in during the process and customize portions of the home to their own vision, selections, and lifestyle.

It will be the first of what we expect to be a very special collection of homes.

A Different Kind of Texas Hill Country Legacy

Some homes are designed around views.

Some are designed around entertaining.

Others are designed around privacy.

At Puerta del Lobo, we have the opportunity to design around all three—while adding the vineyard, wine culture, food, music, and sense of community that make this project unlike anything else currently taking shape in the Texas Hill Country.

For families considering a $4–$5 million estate, that distinction matters.

You aren't simply choosing a home.

You're choosing the land surrounding it. The architecture. The vineyard. The community. The experiences your family will share there. And potentially, the place they will continue returning to decades from now.

Wine. Land. Architecture. Legacy.

Puerta del Lobo has already proven the concept in Mexico.

Now it's coming to Texas.

And Current Custom Homes is proud to help build its next chapter.
